Front Desk Receptionist

Madison Property Management, Inc. is looking for an organized and customer service driven individual to serve as the face of MPM in our reception area. An administrative assistant will work hard to create the best possible first impression of MPM for our renters, property owners, vendors, and prospects by providing excellent customer service both over the phone and in person.

This fast-paced position involves quickly developing a deeply rooted understanding of our property management software system, leasing practices, and internal procedures in order to provide quick answers to customer questions, direct inquiries to the appropriate internal party, and assist with organizational and data keeping projects. Our ideal candidate will be a quick, detail-oriented learner with proven abilities in written and verbal communication. This person will be able to work effectively both independently and with a team, will have a proven ability in customer service, and will proactively seek out projects, as needed.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Quickly and capably learn and work in MPM's internal property management software system
  • Learn and be able to explain general facets of MPM's leasing and operational systems
  • Collect and organize rent payments
  • Greet and welcome guests promptly and with a smile
  • Serve as the operator for MPM's phone system, and redirect calls, as needed
  • Answer customer and vendor questions and complaints
  • Receive letters and packages, and distribute them accordingly
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Monitor office expenses
  • Maintain the appearance of the reception area at all times
  • Develop an understanding of the MPM portfolio as a whole
  • Assist with organizational and data-related projects, as needed
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Insured personal vehicle available every day to use as-needed
  • Working knowledge of computers and basic windows programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Prior experience in customer service
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
Hours / Benefits:
  • This is a full time position.
  • Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm with select Saturday hours required.
  • Paid Holidays, paid vacation time, and a benefits package are available to full time employees.
  • A company cell phone will be provided.
